OEM & ODM
Two different conversations get called "customisation". One is free and happens on the production line. The other needs tooling, money and three months. Here is which is which.
Free or near-free at MOQ
- Body colour, two-tone splits, matte or gloss
- Your logo on body panels, top case and seat
- Dashboard artwork and display language
- Battery chemistry and capacity within the existing tray
- Controller speed limit set to your market's ceiling
- Mirrors, top case, rack, seat and tyre brand
- Cartons, manuals and warranty cards in your language
- Charger plug type for your market
Quoted per project
- New body panel shapes or a new front apron
- New headlamp or tail lamp housing
- Frame geometry changes, longer deck or wheelbase
- New battery tray dimensions
- A body form that does not exist in the current range
Tooling is quoted per part after we see the drawing or the reference model. Expect a mould lead time measured in weeks, not days, and agree in the contract who owns the tool at the end of the programme — ask us that question, and ask every other supplier the same.
From enquiry to sailing
Seven steps. The two that people underestimate are compliance and battery documentation, so we have given both their own line rather than hiding them inside "production".
Enquiry
You send models, destination market, annual volume and target price. One message, no back and forth.
Specification
We return a written spec sheet per model: configuration, battery option, controller setting, colour, packing.
Quotation
Unit price by quantity break, EXW / FOB Ningbo / CIF, carton dimensions and units per 40HQ.
Sample
Sample built to the agreed spec and shipped by sea. Sample cost is credited against the first production order.
Compliance
Testing and documentation for your market, where the model does not already hold it.
Production
Frames, paint, assembly, 100% road test and pre-shipment inspection. Photos at each stage.
Shipment
Booking, dangerous-goods documentation for battery, bill of lading and the full document set to your broker.

Send the models, the market and the volume. We will come back with what is free, what needs tooling, and what it costs.
