How the production network works
Taizhou, in Zhejiang province, is one of China's two centres of two-wheeler manufacturing. Frames, plastics, motors, controllers, chargers and battery packs are all sourced within a short drive, which is why a colour change or a controller change here takes days rather than a purchasing cycle.
Partner facilities carry out frame processing, surface treatment and vehicle assembly. MOPEDOEM coordinates the written specification, OEM details, production follow-up and buyer-requested inspection points for each order.
Verify us before you pay
We would rather you checked than trusted us. Any of the following, on request, before a deposit:
- A live video walkthrough of the line, on your schedule and in your time zone
- Applicable supplier business documents, subject to confidentiality
- A visit — Taizhou is about four hours from Shanghai
- Third-party pre-shipment inspection by an agency of your choosing, at your cost
- A written production and inspection plan for the selected model
Ask every supplier on your shortlist for the same five things. The answers will separate them faster than the price list will.
Quality control
Incoming inspection, in-line checks, functional testing and pre-shipment inspection points are agreed for the selected model and recorded in the order specification. Do not assume one checklist applies to every configuration.
What we send during production
Photographs at frame, paint, assembly and packing stages, and the loading photographs when the container is stuffed. You should not have to ask for these.
